Deus EX is still one of my favourite games of all time. Nothing else even comes close to the oppressive cyberpunk atmosphere and storyline - absolute masterpiece.
The sequel sucked ass though.
Resident Evil 4 on the Wii was brilliant and is an excellent showcase for how motion controls can add to a game when implemented properly.

HHG being in the journalism industry is debatable, i would say he is more of an amateur video blogger since he isnt making a full time living from what he is doing on his website.

the problem with HHG is that he has gone from being a passionate gamer with an interesting video blog to a needy, desperate, attention seeking, flamebaiting, exaggerating prat.
In his need to gain hits he has turned pretty much this entire community against him, since N4G is pretty much his bread and butter then thats gonna end up costing him.

Simple - They care because its indicative of a consoles power.
People like to defend their console of choice, whichever console can output the best graphics is one factor in the debate over which is the best console.
Sorry but i just find it really frustrating to see people willingly get ripped off, then after being ripped off you get certain fanboys who will convince themselves that its a good thing.
My main issue though is that it sets a precedent to other companies that they can get away with it, and i find that quite worrying as a consumer.

I think its fine to pay for premium services – no issue with that at all.
However online connectivity should in no way be classed as a premium service, it’s the most basic of all internet services and the fact that Microsoft has conned people into paying for it is f**king appalling.
And for all the people saying “I don’t mind paying for Gold” then you should ask yourself if you would pay for Gold if Silver included online gaming.

Sony still uses its divisions to balance out the books. A lot of the loss from the PS3 gaming division was caused by the inclusion of the expensive blu-ray drive.
That in turn will cause an increase in profit for the blu-ray division, even more so as more people begin to swap over from DVD.
